(Bob, Mr Barton and Kathy enter.)
(Addressing the audience)
If everyone would like to stop working just for a moment, I’m sure you won’t find that too much of a hardship ha ha. Ok? Right. As you know Kathy is leaving us today after many years of loyal service, so we’ve had a little whip round and Mr Barton has come all the way from head office to make the presentation, so round of applause please… Thank you. Mr Barton.
Thank you Bob. Well, People like er, Kathy are a valuable asset to this company so you will be missed. But we won’t keep you waiting, Bob, do you have the present?
I thought you had it
I haven’t got it. What was it.
A bottle of champagne
Well who’s got it?
I’ve got it. Or should I say had it. Just like I had you ay Mr Barton?
Oh don’t tell me you’ve forgotten, I haven’t. You were wonderful.
(She kisses Mr Barton and leaves the stage. Bob and Mr Barton are speechless for a moment before Bob turns to Mr Barton)
How could you, you bitch.
(They leave the stage)
